Angelina Jolie accomplished worldwide fame after she performed the role of the daring Lara Craft in the Tomb Raider movie. The sequel to the first movie was The Cradle of Life released in the year 2003. Although it did not acquire the expected success, yet the stunts were choreographed in a stunning manner, with the new action heroine, Angelina Jolie performing some death-defying acts. In this particular scene, she demonstrates her martial skills against a Chinese criminal deep inside a cave in China. She is held up with her partner here and while the latter is beaten up by the henchmen, the lady has some brief conversation with the crime lord before engaging in a duel with him. She is handcuffed and in a more helpless situation and as the conversation ends and the camera zooms in to catch the final words of both the combatants, there is instant fight. The man first takes out the gun to finish her off as planned, but Angelina Jolie uses her long legs to defend herself. The gun is out and the man next picks up a spear and tries to attack her, which actually helps her release her hands. Then she disappears among the terracotta statues that are destroyed by the attacking spear. She also jumps over the statutes and even use a stick made up bamboo to fight with him while the latter is armed with two cutlasses. Finally, it the sharpness of the bamboo sticks that kill her adversary.
