The Naked Weapon has some of the best female action shown on the screen. The script has been developed to highlight the supremacy of the girls trained in martial arts, as part of the “girls with guns” genre, popularly followed in the Hong Kong cinema. The movie has an interesting story of how young girls are given rigorous training to become fatal assassins. In fact, the whole secret training organization is managed by a woman herself!
Tall Girl Kicking Men
The first scene has the rangy-looking Marit Thoresen, playing Fiona Birch – a highly skilled assassin entering the hotel room and killing her target. When the alarm is raised, we actually come to see how Marit launches powerful kicks on the armed security men around. She happens to have extraordinary strength in her long legs that strike so hard.
Young Teen Girl trounces boys of her age in One-to-One Duels
In next scene, we get to see the potential female power in its raw form. A young girl in her teen is engaged in street fights against boys. She continuously punches and kicks her male adversaries, winning the duel matches and being cheered by the excited audience around her. The physical power demonstrated at such an age is an amazing part of the girl power phenomenon.
Girls learning Martial Arts
Recruited girls undergo a stringent training process in a remote island. Girls as young as thirteen years learn to kick and survive in the most difficult environments, thus bringing out the real girl power in them.
