@EaglesMan36 Shelley was the most underrated Angel, and I agree she wasn’t the reason for the falling ratings. When Shelley arrived, Kate had already left and so had Farrah, and people missed them, and they should have given Shelley larger parts.

Shelley, I was disappointed when the producers let you go. They were stupid. You are classy and beautiful, and you didn’t deserve that. Jaclyn and Cheryl were both upset when Shelley got let go. When Shelley walked into a room, you had to do a double take because she’s so beautiful!

Shelly Really could act especially once she really embraced the role. I hope the producers or whoever it was that pushed for her to be fired now looks back on these and realizes what a huge mistake they made.

At least Shelly got a bit part in King of Comedy. She’s due for a comeback. I could see her in an episode of Law & Order or CSI.

Yea, Shelly got a bum rap . I started to like her toward the end, but by the 80s. Early 1980 to be exact. Charlies Angels was becoming passe. So they thought they could bring in a sexy “Angel” to bring back the show .. As it turned out. The show’s ratings were at it’s all time low by the 5th Season and there was no hope in continuing. Plus, Jaclyn Smith said that was her last year. It would have been pretty pathetic for them to do a 6th Season with no original Angels.

Totally agree with you,Tiffany was given a poor introduction, when I saw Cagney and Lacey with Meg Foster can see why they recast with Shelley on CA there was no need.
She was offered guest star spots on the show after not getting her conytract renewed but turned it down.

How could anyone can disagree with you. By the way, I have a feeling that this was shot in their office with a different deco!

  8. EaglesMan36 says:

Shelley Hack was easily the most underrated Angel. Why they blamed her for falling ratings, I’ll never know.

I did like these “sting” episodes where the Angels set up the con-man. Nice they didn’t get caught for a change. Weren’t too many during the show’s run but they were all well done

I just picked up the DVD, and Shelley is a far better actress then she was given credit for at the time. I think that because she had been a Ford model and was under exclusive contract to Revlon they (ABC execs) looked the other way. Big mistake ! Some of the best episodes of the series are with her.

Yes was definately one of the best episodes for Shelley Hack, shame it was towards the end of the season that she fit well. I liked her a lot.

  12. famkej says:

Wow! Great scene. I’m buying this season when it comes out on dvd for sure!
I’d forgotten how gorgeous she was, and still is, I’m sure!

hard evidence that Shelley Hack was a much better actress than she was ever given credit for. She got a bum rap.

it made the angels distinctive of each other…kelly’s hair need to be lighter than sabrina’s….

it didn’t bother me. sure, it was a change from the brunette-blonde-brunette bookends of the original trio. but i personally think the jaclyn-cheryl-shelley combo was the closest the show got to duplicating the way the original 3 physically complemented each other. together, they were beautiful to look at. had the stories continued to be fresh and exciting, i don’t think the angels’ hair color would be an issue at all. was anybody happy about tanya’s obviously dyed red hair? i don’t think so

  16. dramaticguy says:

I think there seemed to be a problem with two blondes in Charlie’s Angels(apart from Farrah’s 6 guest appearances)
Interesting that Shelley’s replacement Tanya Roberts, had to have her blonde hair dyed before appearing in the cast.
