@drowlo While that is definitely a possible interpretation, it still does not justify the way it was portrayed in the movie.
Additionally there is already enough “film” violence in it to show that nature moves man to extremes in that part of the world. In my opinion it has just been incorporated to provide shock and gore, like it is done in many mediocre movies, and that could have been done in a civilized way as well (models, film blood etc.).

@EPR89 the violence may be deemed unecessary if you dont have a mind of literature…if u realise the animals symbolised the humas…they were a mirroring of thee human’s action! canibalisn—man eating man….
i fink it’s a good movie wif minor glitches and acting set backs. i fink the brutality of the animal shows a mirror effect of the humans themselves…it’s simple literature. nature mirrors man…
The acting was terrible… I don’t know what it is about these old movies but I just love the visuals and colours in them. Ofcourse high gloss is great but every now and then I enjoy watching an old movie..with better acting though!
I don’t really get why they had to show the death of the monkey. There was actually a whole lot of unmotivated and unnecessary violence against animals.
I hope this is good with lotsa of nudity and violence like cannibal holocaust Brooohooohahahaha!
